IT Help Desk Technician – Denver

Description: The IT Helpdesk Technician is one of 2-3 people in the IT department. The bulk of the job is normal IT helpdesk work, including support for hardware, software, networks, printers, and all of the other things that your extended family and co-workers have asked you for help with in the past. Furthermore, your job is to adhere and contribute to systems and standards that provide consistency, reliability, and structure for the IT team and everyone the IT team supports. The IT department operates like a customer service team, but your customers are your co-workers.

Office Location: 4665 Paris St. #300-C, Denver, CO 80239

Hours: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (Flexibility given)

Salary: $35,000-$45,000/ year (Dependent on experience)                                      

Desired start date: Late May


General Duties

  • Ensure that existing equipment, systems, and tools are working properly
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the company’s technology systems
  • Provision technology and set up accounts for new employee on-boarding, and follow similar processes for off-boarding terminated employees
  • Monitor, maintain, and upgrade these systems as needed
  • Provide support and training for IT-supported systems
  • Research, design, and implement solutions to support the evolution of technology over time

Job Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in a related field, OR an impressive amount of relevant experience
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Incredibly fast online research abilities
  • Ability to identify important information, make a decision, and explain both of these to others
  • Ability to set priorities, triage your workload, and focus on the item that you’re working on
  • Ability to plan a project, then execute on the plan and bring the project to completion
  • Consistent work habits
  • Ability to write clear, organized documentation
  • Typing > 60 wpm
  • Desire to learn new skills, support others, and do work that you are proud of

Experience in one or more of the Following is Preferred:

  • Android OS
  • Basic scripting (any language)
  • CRM software
  • Databases
  • G-Suite (Google Apps)
  • Helpdesk software
  • IT security
  • Mediawiki or other wiki software
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Networking
  • Phone / Hosted PBX / VoIP administration
  • WordPress / PHP and other web development tools
